Belgrade, ME: Arlette J. Hatt, 67, died unexpectedly on March 21, 2016 at her Belgrade, ME home.\r\n \r\nShe was born in Waterville, ME on February 19, 1949 the daughter of Edgar and Paulette (Meriaux) Douglas.\r\n \r\nArlette graduated from Belgrade High School, Class of 1967. She went on to earn a degree in Legal Secretary from Thomas College.\r\n \r\nShe was employed in several local banks including, Depositors Trust Company, Key Bank, K.V. Credit Union and retired as Head Teller from New Dimensions Credit Union. Her most rewarding job was, following her retirement from banking, she was employed by the Maine Children’s Home in Waterville, ME.\r\n \r\nArlette’s life centered around her children and grandchildren. She was a Boy and Girl Scout leader and attended every activity her children participated in.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her husband David Hatt of Belgrade, ME; her daughter Deborah Hatt and fiancée Christopher Davidson of Vassalboro, ME; her son Timothy Hatt of Oakland, ME; her father Edgar Douglas and his wife Bernadette of Boise, Idaho; her sisters Colette Tilton of Kittery Point, ME and Suzette Douglas of Oakland, ME; her 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, Jessica, and Nicholas Cain, Timothy Hatt II and Paige Hatt. Father and mother in law Clive and Geneva Hatt; Sister in law, Brenda Wadleigh and husband David; and 2 nieces and a nephew.\r\n\r\nArlette was predeceased by her mother Paulette Douglas and a sister Janette Young.\r\n \r\nFriends are invited to visit from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on April 2 at the Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church Street, Oakland, ME.
