Waterville, ME- Arthur Joshua Dipietro, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2015. \r\n\r\nArthur was born in Waterville, ME on March 3, 1990, the son of Arthur L. DeCato and Melodie S. Dipietro.\r\n\r\nArthur was a big hearted young man who would always lend a hand to help anyone. He loved spending time outside doing landscaping and cutting down trees. Arthur especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, who called him “Uncle Arty.”\r\n\r\nHe was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Beulah Dipietro; his paternal grandparents, Sharon Buckman, Arthur Eaton, and Tom DeCato; and his uncle, Albert Gagnon.\r\n\r\nArthur is survived by his mother, Melodie Dipietro of Rome, ME; his father, Arthur DeCato and his wife, Regina of Waterville, ME; his grandfather, Michael Trask and his wife, Bonnie of Dixfield, ME; his siblings, Amanda Dipietro and her companion, James Libby of Sidney, ME, Ryan Dipietro and his companion, Crissy Noble of Waterville, ME, Melissa Lockard and her husband, Tim of Nerwica, Michigan, Tyler Libby of Lewiston, ME, Devin DeCato of Gardiner, and Levi Meader of New Sharon; his step-brother, Matthew Moody; his special aunt, Faylene Thibodeau and her husband, Mikey of Buckfield, ME; he also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who he loved dearly.\r\n\r\nVisiting hours will be on Sunday, August 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church Street, Oakland, ME. A celebration of his life will take place at Decker Simmons Post American Legion, Church St., Oakland following visiting hours.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Melodie Dipietro, c/o Skowhegan Savings Bank, 450 Civic Center Drive, Augusta, ME 04330, to help with funeral expenses. Donations may also be made to a mental health program or institute in Arthur’s memory to help others in need.
