CLINTON, MAINE—Betty Mae Gibson Thrasher, of Clinton, Maine passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, in Clinton, Maine, at her home. She was born on April 9, 1924, the daughter of Bertha L. Gifford and Samuel C. Gibson. Betty graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Maine, class of 1942, and attended Farmington Normal School for one year. Following her schooling she was employed by Keyes Fibre Company for the next 42 years until retirement. Betty was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Albert Thrasher; and two sisters, Marion Gibson Pillsbury and Rachel Gibson Lincoln. She is survived by her two nieces, Nancy Pillsbury Grover and her husband, Willie and their son, Daniel and Mary Pillsbury Bailey and her son, Justin and his sons, Justin and Kobe; and one nephew, Parker Byron Pillsbury Jr. and his wife, Ewa and their children, Parker III and Christine and her husband, Jason Ruiz. As per her request, following cremation her ashes will be combined with her beloved husband, Albert Thrasher’s ashes. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 4 at Maplewood Cemetery in Fairfield, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O.
