SHAWMUT, MAINE--Beverly Louise (Clifford) Crowell, passed away peaceful at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Beverly was born in Clinton, Maine, the daughter of Charles and Doris (Kennedy) Clifford. She graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Maine, class of 1948. She was employed by C. F. Hathaway in Waterville, Maine for 12 years. Beverly was married to Robert O. Crowell on November 16, 1956, and became a homemaker, taking care of her own children and several family and friend’s children for over 22 years. She later worked in local restaurants in Fairfield, Maine. She and her late husband Robert enjoyed attending local antique auto events. She enjoyed playing cards with family, doing word search, making puzzles, and camping. She also enjoyed listening to music and playing the piano. Some of her best times were spent making memories with her family and friends. Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Doris; her husband, Robert; five brothers, Gordon “Keith” Clifford and his wife, Mabel, Charles “Charlie” Clifford Jr. and his wife, Emily, Ralph “Buddy” Clifford, Robert E. Clifford, and Richard Clifford. She was also predeceased by her longtime friend, Edwyna Orchard. She is survived by her children, Terry L. Butler and her husband, Dennis, of Clinton, Maine, Robert E. Crowell and his wife, Terry, of Clinton, Maine, and Tammy J. Osborne, and her husband, Richard of China, Maine. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Butler and her partner, Greg Richards, of Clinton, Maine, Kristal Leary and her husband, Travis of Clinton, Maine, Nicholas Crowell and his wife, Erika of Shawmut, Maine, Joshua Crowell and his wife, Tasha of Clinton, Maine and Ross Osborne of China, Maine: ten great-grandchildren, Dylon and Cooper Wright, Allison, Connor, and Sarah Leary, Derek, Aaliyah, and Alexis Crowell, Teagan and baby boy Crowell (to arrive in January); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be sadly missed by many and forever in our hearts. Honoring Beverly's request, there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, at Greenlawn Rest Cemetery, in Clinton, Maine. Her nephew, Edward R. Clifford will be officiating.
