Fairfield, ME- Blanche M. Clark, 72, passed away at her home, October 28, 2015, after a long hard battle, with her family by her side.\r\n\r\nBlanche was born in Skowhegan, ME on August 15, 1943, the daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Duplessie) Therrien. She graduated from Skowhegan High School. \r\n\r\nAfter graduation, she worked for local restaurants in the area for over 40 years, and she retired from Butcher’s Choice in Fairfield, ME in 2005.\r\n\r\nHer house always had an open door to anyone in need. She always seemed happiest when she had a full house. Blanche always was looking to help others in need. She always attended sporting events and dance recitals to support her children and grandchildren. Blanche really enjoyed music, especially rock ‘n’ roll and Elvis. She loved to dance; the jitterbug and the cha cha were her favorites.\r\n\r\nShe always had such a positive attitude and never cried over spilled milk. Birthdays were always a cause for celebrating. She has touched many lives in her 72 years, whether it was over a cup of coffee, waiting tables, or just being the beautiful person she was. She will be missed by many people.\r\n\r\nShe always looked forward to her “do nothing week” at the Samoset Condo, where she would get to pick rock and shells at the ocean which was one of her favorite things to do. Blanche loved walking the breakwater, and sitting on the deck looking out over the ocean while enjoying an afternoon cocktail. She always seemed at peace when she was at the ocean. \r\n\r\nBlanche is predeceased by her parents; her mother and father in law George and Hilda Clark; her sister Lucille Clement; and her brothers Walter Therrien and Ernest Therrien.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her Husband Richard (Dick) Clark of Fairfield, ME; son Eric (Rick) Clark of Fairfield, ME; daughter Michelle Peterson and husband Clinton of Fairfield, ME; grandchildren Karlie Clark of Fairfield, ME, Tragen Clark of Sidney, ME, Braylee Peterson of Sidney, ME, Alexandrea Peterson of Fairfield, ME, Xavier Peterson of Fairfield, ME, and her twin boys Dustin and Dylan Brown of China, ME. Jeremy, and our “Canadian” nurse, Tara Greene, we thank you so much! We would like to specially thank the Hospice Care Givers who helped with Blanche’s care in her last days at home.
