OAKLAND, ME—Bruce Lynn Holt, 57, died unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Bruce attended Oakland, ME schools. He was employed as a wood cutter then later worked for a company relining pipe all over New England. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with family, and shooting pool, but his greatest joy was being a dad to his son, Zachary. Bruce was a member of The Sons of the American Legion Decker Simmons Post #51. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Holt; and his sister, Maureen Ashbrook. Bruce leaves behind his sons, Zachary Taylor Holt and Simon Liszka; his friend and mother of his son, Jennifer L. Steelman; his five brothers, John Robert Holt, Brian D. Holt, Brian K. Holt, Eric R. Holt, and Jeremy John Holt; his nine sisters, Carlene Armour, Donna Proctor, Sandra J. Knight, Debra Knight, Laurie Ann Holt, Shelly L. Witham, Sheila Foss, Jean E. Shanta, and Cheryl Jean Levesque; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 7 at Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church Street, Oakland, ME.
