Rome, ME: Carl Leon Wyman, 64, died on Monday, March 16, 2015, at his home. He was born in Skowhegan, ME on June 6, 1950, the son of George and Patricia (Folsom) Wyman. Carl was employed as a dump truck driver before a diving accident left him paralyzed and caused him to stop working. He later worked for a while in a machine shop and he really enjoyed plowing. Carl was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a very caring man and would help anyone in need. He especially enjoyed helping others repair their cars. He loved cars and spent countless hours riding around looking at cars. He was a car racing fan, enjoyed fishing, and mostly liked being home with his friends and family. Surviving are his wife, Doreen (Albert) Wyman of Rome, ME; his daughter, Melissa Wyman and her companion, Shawn Caswell of North Anson, ME; his son, Steven Wyman and his companion, Kachira Doucette of Fairfield, ME; his daughter, Lori Huffstetler and her husband, Mike of Belgrade, ME; his step son, Robert Hill and his wife, Sharon of Springfield, MA.; 5 grandchildren, Arian, Brooke, Austin, Jamie, and Brittany; 9 great grandchildren; his brothers, Dale Wyman and his wife, Debbie of Canaan, ME, George Wyman and his wife, Dottie of Washington, and Kevin Wyman and his companion, Leslie of Rome, ME; his sisters, Donna Yoder and her husband, John of PA., Valerie Dulac and her husband, Godfrey of Readfield, ME, Georgette Gordon and her companion, Pete of North Anson, ME, Ruth McKenna and her husband, John of Harmony, ME, Cheryl Ross of La., and Felicia Brooks and her companion, Steve; his brother in law, Michael Albert and his wife, Cathy of Brooksville, FL.; his sister in law, Jeanette Savage and her husband, Alton of Windsor, ME; his brother in law, Oral Glidden and his wife, Anita of China, ME; his brother in law, Ray Glidden and his wife, Judy of San Jancito CA; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Baron, Beverly Taylor, Doris Kussmaul, Kenneth Wyman, Benny Wyman, Harley Wyman, Clarence Wyman, Jeffrey Wyman, and Alton Wyman; and his brother in law, William Albert. A gathering to celebrate Carl’s life will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m.at the Poulin-Turner Union Hall, 653 Waterville Road in Skowhegan, ME. Burial will be in Moscow, ME in the spring.
