ALBION, MAINE-- Carol Anne Bradstreet, of Albion, ME passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, January 16, 2015. Carol will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. Her passing leaves a large hole in the hearts and lives of those who knew her. She was born in Waterville, ME on September 22, 1948, the daughter of her loving parents, Frederick and Mary (Collins) Grard. Carol attended Immaculate Heart of Mary parochial school in Fairfield, Mount Merci Academy, and graduated from Lawrence High School. Education was always important to Carol who after high school went on to earn her Associates Degree from Unity College. For the past 37 years Carol worked at Unity College in the financial aid department working tirelessly to make college possible for countless students. Unity College was a very special place to Carol where she created lifelong friendships. She worked there until her passing. She also worked at C.F. Hathaway for many years. Carol’s family was without a doubt the most important part of her life. She loved supporting her family in every way and could always be found at events that were special to each of them such as sporting events, teaching them her love of sewing, and sharing their love of horses. Carol’s family was never far from her mind and she played an active role in their lives. Her family will never forget the way she would always think of them and remind them of the special place that they held in her heart. Holidays were especially joyful occasions and Carol worked hard to make sure the family came together to share in the joy. She also enjoyed watching the Red Sox and was a longtime member of Red Sox Nation along with enjoying watching the Patriots. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all of those whose lives that she touched. Her family included her daughters, Sherry Wilson, Mary Bradstreet, and Tanya Stevens; her son, Ryan Bradstreet; her sisters, Roxie Clements, and Doris Giroux; her brother, John Grard; her grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Stephanie, Joey, James, David, Katie, and Leah; the father of her children, Gene Bradstreet; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 23 at Notre Dame Church, Silver Street, Waterville, ME.
