Fairfield, ME--Cecil L. Lee passed away at home on Sunday, May 17, 2015, with his wife Mayvilla “Maude” by his side. Cecil was born and raised in Danforth, Maine on Feb. 4, 1927, son of Herman and Edith (Muncy) Lee.\r\n\r\nCecil and Maude were married on Dec. 31, 1953, and raised seven children.\r\n\r\nCecil retired from Ski Land Woolen Mill in Clinton, ME where he lived for many years before moving to Fairfield, ME. Cecil served in the United States Army as a rifleman during WWII.\r\n\r\nCecil is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mayvilla “Maude”; daughters, Sheila Gerry and husband Oscar, Darlene Peavey and husband Dana, Linda Chesley and husband Dana, and Debra Bailey and husband Rodney all of Clinton, ME, Molly Orff and her partner, Mike James of Vassalboro, ME, and Sherry Tanner and husband Bill of Fairfield, ME; son, Larry Lee and wife Geneva of Newport, ME; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cecil will be missed greatly by his brother, Wayne Lee, and nephew Randy who went to see him every day.\r\n\r\nCecil was predeceased by two grandsons, Michael “Mickey” Killam and Gary Lee.\r\n\r\nThere will be no visiting hours. A remembrance will be held at Bill and Sherry’s home at 681 Norridgewock Rd., Fairfield, ME on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m.
