Waterville, Maine: Christine ‘Tina’ Milbrand, 68, died November 13, 2016 surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with Cancer. \r\n\r\nShe was born in Wellesley, Massachusetts on August 24, 1948, the daughter of Ned and Nancy (Wiswall) Erne.\r\n \r\nTina graduated from Wellesley High School, Class of 1967. She earned her Associates Degree from Northeastern University and went on to become a nurse. She was a nurse at Mass General Hospital for many years. She also worked at hospitals in Hawaii, California, and Virginia.\r\n \r\nTina was an active member of the Waterville Garden Club and was a master gardener. She was a member of the Waterville Newcomers Club, and was a dedicated volunteer for many organizations. She answered letters to Santa, Volunteered for the Attorney Generals Office, and was a Red Cross Instructor.\r\n \r\nSurviving are her husband, John Milbrand of Waterville, Maine; three sons; Alden Lee of Augusta, Maine, Jeff Stuart and Phillip Milbrand both of California; a daughter Jill Milbrand Stucchi of Westborough, MA; mother Nancy Erne of Massachusetts; brother, Bruce Erne; sister Susan Stark Beeson; two grandchildren Samantha and Erika Stucchi; and three loving nieces Tammy Bloomberg, Lindsey Phillips and Katie Hale. \r\n\r\nTina was a wonderful and unique person who brought joy into the lives of everyone she touched. It didn't matter to her if you were a long time friend or a new acquaintance if you had a need and she could help she was the first in line. Words cannot express the love she spread to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She fought long and hard to beat her Cancer and survived far longer than many would have thought possible. Her battle is now over and she will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.\r\n \r\nFriends are invited to visit from noon till 1:00 PM on Saturday November 19 at Lawry Brothers-Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Oakland where memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM. Following the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection fellowship hall, 36 Cool St., Waterville. \r\n\r\nDonations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, in her name, PO Box 828, Waterville, ME 04903.
