Clifton Clif Williams, 82, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011, at a Waterville hospital. He was born in Bath, New Hampshire, on August 6, 1928, the oldest son of Fern and Roxie M. (Cole) Williams. Clif had been ill for many years and during the end of his life, Laura his beloved wife of over 40 years, was by his side holding his hand as he had wished. He was a wonderful husband to Laura. Clif was a hard worker and told many stories of his days working for the Town of Fairfield and various farm jobs. Following his retirement, he enjoyed many enjoyable times with his wife and their two cats. He loved watching the Boston Red Sox, game shows, John Wayne, and going to the Muskie Center to play Bingo. He was predeceased by his parents; and by two siblings, Richard Williams and Florence Morrison. Clif was a friend to many and was liked by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. He was involved with several professionals which made it possible to live at home until the end. Special thanks to Dana, Clifs home health care nurse; Donna, his nurse from Oak Grove Center; Carol Ann and Clifs very special friend, Donna from Helping Hands; the HealthReach Hospice team; the Muskie Center staff, especially Allison and Tammy; friends, Rita and Gertrude; and his long term case manager, Bonnie Pedersen.
