HUDSON, Fla. - Constance Angelina (McDonough) Ashey, 83, of Hudson, Fla., passed away on June 12, 2015, at the home of her son, Dana, after a long illness. \r\n\r\nShe was born in Fairfield on May 19, 1932, to the late James and Rose (Dutil) McDonough. She graduated from Lawrence High School and enjoyed 63 years of marriage to Wilfred "Bill" Ashey, who predeceased her in February 2015. \r\n\r\nAfter retirement, she and her husband moved to Florida although they spent summers at their camp on Pattee's Pond. She liked cooking, travel, camping and accompanying her husband on motorcycle trips; however her biggest source of joy was her family. Family came first with her and she loved spending time with her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She created lasting, loving memories for her family and friends. \r\n\r\nShe leaves four sons and their wives, Dana (Theresa) of Florida, Dean (Rhonda) of Winslow, ME, Dennis (Diane) of Lewiston, ME, and Daniel (Connie) of Florida; six grandchildren, Raeann Stratton and Ryan, Sarah, Dana, Christopher and Colby Ashey; five great-grandchildren, Basil, Thomas, Reid and Allison Stratton and Kyleb Smith; as well as her godchild, Kelly Bonnell. \r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her three brothers, Roland, James and Robert McDonough, and two sisters, Ann McDonough and Dorothy Murray. \r\n\r\nThere will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at St. John the Baptist Church, Winslow, ME. Interment will follow at 2 p.m., at the old Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta, ME.
