BENTON, ME--Curtis “Curt” Crawford died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3. 2016. \r\n\r\nCurt was born in Albion, ME on June 22, 1933, the son of Ruby (Parkhurst) Crawford and Edgar Crawford. He attended school in Albion, ME, and worked on the Crawford family farm with his brother, Horace, and sisters, Priscilla, and Elizabeth. \r\n\r\nCurt married Wilberta Richards in November 1955. The couple had four sons, Dale, Randy, Richard, and Scott. Curt worked for many years in the poultry industry. He also worked as a meat cutter for Mason’s Beef and Jason’s Butcher Shop, both in Albion, ME.\r\n\r\n In 1978, Curt married Geraldine “Geri” Leigh. He had two step children, Randy and Wendy Leigh. Curt was a 40-year member of the Benton Grange, and an enthusiastic snowmobiler. He and Geri enjoyed spending time at their camp in Lexington, ME. \r\n\r\nCurt was predeceased by his parents; and by his wife, Geraldine. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his siblings, Priscilla Bailey and her significant other, Alton Reynolds, Horace Crawford and his significant other, Mirna Pomerleau, and Elizabeth Fletcher and her husband, William Fletcher; his children, Dale Crawford, Randy Crawford and his wife, Kathy, Richard Crawford, and Scott Crawford and his wife, Patty; his grandchildren, Kelley Crawford, Nancy Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Joshua Crawford, and Katie Crawford; his great granddaughter, Victoria Crawford; and his step children, and their families. \r\n\r\nCurt’s sons would like to thank Ruth Leigh for her loving care and attention to Curt after the death of his wife. \r\n\r\nThere will be no public visiting hours. A committal service will be held in the spring.
