Oakland: Dale Raymond (Lucky) Collier, His journey in this life was completed on May 11th, 2017. \r\n\r\nHe was born on April 29th, 1959, and was raised in Belgrade Maine. \r\n\r\nHe was a graduate of Messalonskee High School where he excelled in sports and was a very charismatic, funny, likeable guy with many friends. He enlisted in the US Navy and served his country for several years. He traveled and resided in several areas along the East coast before finding his way back to New England where, over the last few years, he has resided in Oakland raising his beloved daughter Catherine (Caitie). \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his son, Joshua; daughter, Caitie; and her mom, Joan. He was very proud of Joshua’s accomplishments and achievements and adored his daughter Caitie, the apple of her Dad’s eye. His parents, Dale and Bernadette, were supportive, caring, and nonjudgmental and loved him unconditionally. His younger brother and best friend, Jack, shared an unwavering bond with Lucky that stood the test of time. His sister Kellie, from the time she was a little girl, was under the watchful eye of her protective brother who was always taking care of little sis. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anne and Max; his nieces Madisyn and Sydni; and his grandson, Brody. Many relatives and friends have entered his life over the years.\r\n\r\nOur beloved Lucky has been taken far too soon. Lucky, your suffering is over and may you finally be at peace. We loved you unconditionally and will forever miss your jovial laugh and the colorful character who we knew as LUCKY.\r\n\r\nWe invite everyone to share in the guest book a moment or fond memory that you have of Lucky. It will bring great comfort to his family.\r\n\r\nThere will be no calling hours or service. A family ceremony will take place in the Collier family cemetery at a later date.
