FAIRFIELD, MAINE -- Daniel Lee Elliott Sr., 57, passed away at home unexpectedly Oct. 24, 2011. Daniel was born on Nov. 30, 1953, in Waterville, Maine and raised in Winslow, Maine. He is the son of Beverly Varney. He attended Winslow schools and graduated from KV Tech, in Fairfield, Maine with certificates in auto body and computer electronics. Daniel's favorite hobbies were reading classifieds, cruising around to scope out deals, buying and selling, website designing and listening to oldies, especially Roy Orbison and the Eagles. He loved movies and television, but the most fun of all were random trips as a family, mainly to Old Orchard Beach. He loved his whoopie pies and sweets and enjoyed his wife's cooking very much. He was a strong business man with a soft heart. He always had something to sell and do. He invested in property, automobiles, building materials and website design. He encouraged his children constantly to think big and dream with no excuses. "No such thing as can't," he always said. He loved his children and his wife unconditionally and was always there no matter what. Daniel was reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful, giving and helped a lot of people by giving them work. He had a soft spot for nature, enjoyed the autumn foliage and driving to all kinds of places for sweet peace. Now he has his sweet peace in paradise. He is survived by his wife, Karen Mae Elliott; son Daniel Lee Elliott II; daughter Rockie Lyn Jackson; grandsons Joshua, Gage, Maverick and Myles; his mother, Beverly Varney; all of his 12 brothers and sisters whom he loved and cherished very much; countless nieces and nephews and friends. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Thanks to all the family and friends for all help and sympathy. Service will be held at a later date. Donations are greatly appreciated in condolence of this unexpected death. Please send to Karen Mae Elliott, P.O. Box 256, Fairfield, ME 04937.
