Waterville, ME - David F. Wright, passed away on July 5, 2015, at MGMC in Augusta, Maine, after several years of failing health, with his wife Valerie by his side. \r\n\r\nHe was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on March 17, 1948, the son of the late Donald and Aline (Plouffe) Wright. He received his BA in Business from Boston College, and retired as an Auditor for the State of Maine. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club, both of Waterville, ME.\r\n\r\nHe leaves behind his wife Valerie (Breard) Wright of Waterville, ME; two sons, Mark and William Wright, four step daughters, Mandy Darville, Wendy Dennis, Misty Soucy, and Tracy Hartin of Maine, two grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren; and four sisters, Diane Theall, of Lowell, MA, Sandra Dunphy, of Sanbornville, NH, Carol Goodman, of Austin, TX, and Denise Culp, of Padua, Italy. He also had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nHe was predeceased by his sister Shirley Wright, of Lowell, MA; and his stepdaughter Stacy Loder of Waterville, ME; and mother-in-law Margaret Stockman.\r\n\r\nA Memorial services will be held at 12:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church Street, Oakland, Maine, followed by his internment at the Lewis Cemetery, Oakland, Maine.\r\n\r\nFamily and friends are invited to meet at the American Legion on College Avenue in Waterville, ME following the graveside service.
