Albion, ME –Donna Jean (Tuck) Merchant, 75, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 with family by her side.\r\n\r\nDonna was born in Rochester, NH on January 14, 1941, daughter of Harold L. Tuck and Helen (Chadbourne) Tuck. She married Wayne Merchant on August 17, 1957. \r\n\r\nShe was employed by Edward Riggs Investment Council until her retirement in 2003.\r\n\r\nDonna loved spending time visiting and laughing with her family. Family was everything to her! She was an avid reader and loved to discuss her current book with anyone that would listen. In warmer weather she would sit outside and read all day. Donna loved occasional visits to the casino with her ‘sisters’. In her younger days Donna loved to fish and enjoyed time at Wayne’s and her camp in West Forks. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her smile lit up any room.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her Father Harold Tuck; Mother Helen (Chadbourne) Britt; and two brothers, David and Harold Tuck.\r\n\r\nDonna is survived by her husband Wayne Merchant of Albion, ME; daughter Kathi Charity and her husband William of Albion, ME; son David Merchant and his wife Connie of East Corinth, ME; three sisters, Connie Ward and husband Ronald of Milton, NH, Jane Turcotte and husband Phillip of Somersworth, NH, Pam Sauers and husband Terry of Flushing, MI; brother, Louis Tuck of Sainte Genevieve, MO. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jamie Charity of Fairfield, ME, Christine Mudgett and husband Andy of Mount Vernon, ME, Michael Merchant of Newport, ME, and Kelsey Merchant of East Corinth, ME; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\n\r\nA private family memorial service will be at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield, ME at a later date. Burial will be held in the Spring at the Libby Hill Cemetery in Albion, ME\r\n \r\nThe family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at Maine General Hospital and Hospice.
