Augusta-On September 3, 2018, at 1:15 A.M. heaven gained another angel. Estelle C. Hamill of Augusta has joined the heavenly chorus with her amazing voice. Estelle was always happy singing, cheering others up. She is now in the presence of the King.\r\n \r\nEstelle Olive Conary was born in Deer Isle, Maine on October 26, 1938, the daughter of Earl Conary of Deere Isle and Ruth Sanders of Blue Hill. Estelle attended and graduated from Deere Isle / Stonington High School. \r\n\r\nEstelle was a home maker throughout her life and could be seen most of her life walking around the state capital, the city of Augusta. She belonged to a variety of clubs, including the Habitat for Humanity, and she was involved in each political campaign as a volunteer. She would spend the midnight oil until the winning candidate was announced. Estelle was a member of the state-wide bicentennial chorus of 1976. Her voice was mesmerizing to any ear and soothing to the soul. \r\n\r\nEstelle was a member of the Green Street Methodist Church. She was an avid reader of diverse authors, showing her openness to a multitude of worlds and cultures. Estelle was well liked by everyone she met. When she walked into a room her smile was captivating to any audience she came in contact with. \r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her husband David Hamill; her in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Hamill; brother in law Bruce Hamill; her parents Ruth Saunders, Earl Conary; her siblings Margaret Black of Augusta, Albert Conary of Gardiner, Edwin Conary of Massachusetts and Betty Jean Conary of Bangor. \r\n\r\nEstelle is survived by her daughter Deborah Hamlin of Gardiner and son Robert Hamlin of Fairfield, wife Mary Hamlin; grandchildren, Stephanie Price and husband Manual Price of Oakland, Timmothy Goodwin of Winslow, Angela Givens and husband Thomas Givens of Oxford, Gabriel Hamlin of Fairfield, Zachariah Hamlin and wife Kelsey Hamlin of Fairfield, Great Grandchildren; Gunnar Goodrich, Jacob Hamlin, Ezekiel Hamlin, Elektra Hamlin, Genarosa Hamlin, Aden Price and Laila Allen, Maecie Rogers and Teagan Goodwin, April Givens, Brittany Givens, Colton Givens, Troy Hamlin and Taylor Hamlin, Addisyn Barnes, Bentley Hamlin, Arabella Hamlin and Brielle Hamlin; and one Great- great Grandchild Jaxson Rogers Turner. \r\n\r\nThe funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on September 9, 2018, at the Blessed Hope Church with Pastor Michael Allen at 10 Pleasant Street, Waterville. No grave side service will be held instead, a small celebration of life for Estelle will follow directly after the funeral in the church directory. \r\n\r\nYou are encouraged to bring your memory of Estelle with one of her favorite dishes with a pot luck reception.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank the Lakewood Nursing home for their kind and supportive staff.
