Eula M. Knowlton, 85, of Freedom, Maine passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills, Maine. She was born in Albion on November 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Oscar and Katie (Fuller) Bragg. She graduated from Besse High School in Albion. She married Theodore Brother Knowlton in 1948, and resided in Freedom for the last 63 years. Eula was a member of Dirigo Grange and a member of the Freedom Congregational Church. She enjoyed going to camp, gardening and reading. She loved talking to friends and family on the phone. Eula was predeceased by her husband; grandson, Travis M. Knowlton; a brother, Herman Bragg; and a sister, Marion (Bragg) Fernald. She is survived by her son, Michael and wife Amy of Greenville; grandchildren, Luke and fianc Jaime Reuter of Scottsdale, Arizona, Matthew of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rebecca of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters in-law, Mary Curtis of Belfast and Ruth Drew of Knox; special niece, Kay Tozier of Unity; special friends, Hank Elkins of Knox, Diane Grevais of Oakland; several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on March 12, 2011 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Freedom Congregational Church in Freedom, Maine.
