GEORGINA LOU GERMON\r\n1930-2016\r\n\r\nBENTON, ME—Georgina Lou Germon, 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Bedside Manor in Oakland, ME.\r\n\r\nShe was born in Warwick, Rhode Island on June 5, 1930, the daughter of the late George and Mabelle (Page) Bither.\r\n\r\nGeorgina worked various jobs over the years. She was a lifetime member of the Benton Grange. She was also a past member of East Benton Christian Church where she held the position of treasurer of the Ladies Aide.\r\n\r\nGeorgina was a very good mother, and was always willing to help those in need. She enjoyed knitting mittens for family and for those less fortunate. She also enjoyed sewing, braiding rugs, gardening, canning, cooking, and baking.\r\n\r\nBesides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Germon who passed away on September 21, 2013; her brother, Roger Bither; her infant twin sisters, Pauline and Corrine; and her grandson, Jeremy Germon.\r\n\r\nGeorgina will be deeply missed by her children, Thomas Germon Jr. of East Benton, ME, Audrey Morneau and her husband, Norman of China, ME, Dale Germon and his wife, Linda of East Benton, ME, and Wendell Germon and his wife, Leah of Canaan, ME; her twin sister, Mabelle Nealley of Winterport, ME; her sister, Jackie Hayes of California; eleven grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and one great greatgrandchild.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank the staff at Bedside Manor in Oakland and HeathReach Hospice for the wonderful care Georgina received.\r\n\r\nVisiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 17 at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main ST., Fairfield, ME where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18 with Pastor Bill Lawrence officiating.
