Fairfield, ME-Gloria M. Bishop, 84, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016, with her family by her side.\r\n\r\nGloria was born in Fairfield, ME on July 27, 1931, daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Ware) Bishop. She attended Fairfield schools, and worked hard all her life in the Waterville, ME area.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Bernard and Lawrence Bishop; one sister, Theresa (Bishop) Davis; and her brother-in-law, Lawrence “Timmy” Davis.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by many nieces, and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.\r\n\r\nShe was like a grandmother to her sister, Theresa’s five children, Chris and wife Joy, Larry and wife Vicki, Donna Davis, Cindy and husband Ron Lowell, and Kim Hawkes; her niece-in-law, Laura Kimball; and her seven grandnieces and grandnephews. She was known as “AG”.\r\n\r\nThey could always count on her, never asking or expecting anything of anyone. She was a quiet and kind woman. They will always cherish the time they spent with her and enjoying eating her famous pizza, and rocking on the sun porch drinking tea while she knitted. She taught the meaning of selflessness, and the power of prayer.\r\n\r\nCaring for her family always put a smile on her face. She was always at her best when they needed her the most. We are so grateful that God blessed our lives with hers. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.\r\n\r\nVisiting hours will be at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield, ME on Tuesday, March 8 from 5 to 7p.m. A funeral will take place on Wednesday, March 9 at 11a.m. also at the funeral home.
