FAIRFIELD CENTER, ME—Gloria L. Buker, 72, of Fairfield Center, ME passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, with her forever friend and the love of her life by her side, “Buttons” her Boston Terrier.\r\n\r\nGloria was born in Waterville, ME on October 23, 1942, the daughter of Clayton “George” Moreau and Ruth (Maxwell) Moreau. She was educated in the Fairfield school system.\r\n\r\nGloria was a hard worker and made friends from all walks of life. She worked at Diamond Match, New Balance Shoe, then decided to go back to school to earn her CNA. She worked at a few local nursing homes with the last being Oak Grove Center.\r\n\r\nHer enjoyment in life was to give to all she loved. She was a fun-loving gal, with a very big heart. She absolutely loved her many dogs and cats she had over the years. She had no children, but she was a mom to all. She enjoyed crocheting, motorcycles, and cooking, but most of all just giving of herself.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Florette Pomeroy.\r\n\r\nGloria will be sadly missed by her nieces, Trina Sandelier and family, and Jodi Knox and family; her nephew, Kenneth “Tiny” Childs; her special friend, Angela Hosea; and so many more.\r\n\r\nAt her request, there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Tozier Cemetery, Green Road, Fairfield Center, ME.
