Augusta- Janet R Palmer, 68, went home to be with her Lord on February 21, 2018 at MG Glenridge Rehabilitation and Living facility in Augusta. \r\n\r\nJanet was born on July 31,1949 in Hartland Maine, the fifth child of Ernest and Aretta (Getchell) Palmer. Janet worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and along with Roger Huff Sr. raised their three children in the Burnham and Waterville areas. \r\n\r\nJanet had a gentle heart, full of love. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was particularly proud of all of her grandchildren. Janet enjoyed collecting antiques, reading, painting and drawing, making jewelry, and doing word puzzles. She had a special love for her dogs: Luv, Cubby, Chip and Foxy.\r\n\r\nJanet was predeceased by her parents, her beloved son Scott Huff, a sister Laura Chase and brothers Earl and Thomas Palmer. \r\n\r\nJanet is survived by her son Roger Huff Jr, and wife Andrea of Palermo, daughter Janet Loir-Ellen Cummings of Canaan; five grandchildren Trisha Bizier McAvoy , Dustin and Daryn French and Hannah and Hallee Huff; three great grandchildren Daisy Mae French, Landi Rowell-French and Blaise McAvoy. She also leaves behind her siblings, Eleanor Ryder of Clinton, James and Richard Palmer of Augusta and Norma Wing of Vienna; and many nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thanks the staff at Richmond Elderly Care and MG Glenridge LTC for the great care they provided to Janet.\r\n\r\nA service will be held on Wednesday Feb 28, 2018 2 pm at the Clinton Baptist Church,10 Spring St. Clinton, Maine. A celebration of her life will immediately follow. There will be a private burial in the spring.
