Sidney, Maine- Jaye Lee Furbush “Jaye Bird” 59 – passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 2, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. \r\n\r\nJaye was born on August 8, 1957 in Germany while her father was stationed overseas. She was raised in Waterville, Maine attending Mount Merci and graduating from Waterville High School, class of 1975. She went on to receive an accounting degree from KVCC and a business degree from UMA. \r\n\r\nJaye adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a fondness for art, the ocean, and collecting sea glass with her dear friend Erin St Peter. One of Jaye’s favorite hobbies was to cook and prepare meals for her family, exploring the world through cuisine. She had a great love for Italian food and culture. Jaye was sharp minded with a quick wit, and could smoke any of you fool’s at Jeopardy.\r\n\r\nJaye is survived by her long-time companion Reggie Mott and his daughter Sienna; her two children, Zachary Furbush, and his wife Tiffany, of Island Falls, Maine and Jasmine Weeden, and her husband Ryan, of Lincoln, New Hampshire; her beloved grandchildren, Nora, Penelope, and Maple Weeden, and Eben Furbush; step-mother, Patty Furbush of Chicago, Illinois; her four siblings, Andre Furbush, Ann Farrington, Alyssa Tarr, and Brandy Glashin; treasured Aunt Mary Funada, and Uncle Norman “Clipper” Tuttle, as well as several nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nShe is predeceased by her parents Norman Furbush and Deanna Furbush LaBrie, as well as her grandmother, Nora Tuttle.\r\n\r\nA celebration of her life will be held from 4 to 7pm with words of remembrance to begin at 6pm on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at Lawry Brothers-Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church Street in Oakland, Maine.
