Jennie C. Haines, 92, formerly of Fairfield, Maine passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville, Maine. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeDomenico) Caccamo. She was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, New York, and later attended Brooklyn College and Hunter College. On February 15, 1947, she married Arlton Haines, they moved to Maine in 1954. He passed away on May 7, 1989. Jennie was employed by the State of Maine, as a clerical secretary, in the disability department. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Fairfield, was an art instructor in the area to many children since 1954, and was an avid square and round dancer. In her early years, she enjoyed the Brooklyn Dodgers. She was predeceased by her son Richard J. Haines; a brother Vincent Caccamo; and four sisters Marie Spano, Martha Caccamo, Ann Ruisi, and Julie Alsen. She is survived by two grandchildren Andren Chadburn and Evan Haines; and two great grandchildren Laurn and Taylor Chadburn; a daughter in-law Stephanie Haines; and a sister Gilda Savarese of Staten Island, New York.
