Waterville-Judith A. Morin passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 23, 2017. \r\n\r\nJudy was born August 1, 1938, and was raised in Waterville, the daughter of Henry and Stella (Arsenault) Morin. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1956. \r\n\r\nJudy was a well-known and favorite waitress at Steve’s, Mei Lam Lau and later at Lam’s restaurant, she retired from Chase Fuel, where she worked in the office. She was a member of the Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, where she was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady” for many years for the dozens of cookies that she made for the children’s programs. Judy loved her family and was happiest when she was able to spend time with them or do something for them.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her parents; and siblings Henry, Elizabeth, and Frances.\r\n\r\nJudy is survived by her son, David and his wife Melody of Fairfield; her very special niece Missy Caron and her husband Arthur; grandchildren, Heather and husband Peter McAvoy, Erika Morin and fiancée Marc LeClair; great grandchildren, Lilian and Peter McAvoy III, who will always fondly remember her as Banana; and nephew Arthur Caron II. \r\n\r\nVisiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., in Fairfield. A funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Lawry Brother Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Grant officiating. A private committal service will be held at the North Fairfield Friend’s Cemetery.
