Albion, Maine-Leon St. Peter, 85, of Albion, Maine, passed away peacefully with loved ones around him in Winslow, Maine at the home of his son Jeffrey and wife Shela, on Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was born in Hartford, CT., on January 1, 1928, the son of the late George and Annie May (Claire) St. Peter. In 1953, he married the former Jean M. Long, and together shared 47 years before she passed away on March 28, 2001. He was employed by the Skiland Woolen Mill for several years, and later owned a moving business before he retired. He has lived in Albion, Maine for years. He is survived by his children Roger St. Peter of Turner, Maine, Germaine St. Peter of Old Town, Maine, Teresa St. Peter of Sidney, Maine, Ricky St. Peter of Augusta, Maine, Jeffrey St. Peter of Winslow, Maine, John St. Peter of Canaan, Maine, and Allen St. Peter of Albion, Maine; his brothers and sisters, George St. Peter of Sidney, Maine, Cecile Rodrigue of Augusta, Maine, Alice Schmidt of Westfield, MA, and Clarence St. Peter of Winslow, Maine; and Leon has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone. A special thanks to Hospice, especially Danylle, RN, Lori, HHA, Cathy, RN, and Mainly Care. An extra special thank you to Jeffrey and Shela St. Peter for bringing him into their home and taking care of him. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 25, from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield, maine. Burial will be at a later date at Maplegrove Cemetery in Albion, Maine.
