Clinton- Lillian P. (D Johnston) Chamberlain, 81, of Clinton died peacefully on July 11th in Clinton with one daughter and one son by her side.\r\n\r\nShe was born January 26, 1936, in Lynn, Massachusetts. After moving to Maine with her family, she attended local schools and eventually met and married Kenneth Nelson Chamberlain Sr. on August 6, 1955. They celebrated 60 years of marriage and welcomed five children into their lives and added one more child through adoption. Her life was focused around her family. \r\n\r\nLillian is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Nelson Chamberlain Sr.; her mother Marion (Fraize) Johnston; her father Theodore Johnston Sr.; siblings, Richard Johnston, Theodore Johnston Jr., Ralph Johnston and Phyllis Johnston. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her children and their spouses/partners –, Linda Chamberlain of Clinton, Kenneth and Karen Chamberlain, Jr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Carol (Chamberlain) Wentworth of Clinton and her partner Robert Moore of Ronkonkoma, New York, David Chamberlain of Clinton, Marion (Chamberlain) and James Gongre of Leander, Texas, Tanya (Carey) (Chamberlain) and Jeff Breton of Kissimmee, Florida; three grandchildren and spouse, Catherine (Wentworth) and Cody Sands of Poland, Samuel Gongre of Leander, Texas, and Nicholas Gongre of Leander, Texas; three great grandchildren, Aurora, Arabella and Zorion Sands of Poland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. \r\n\r\nAt Lillian’s request, there will be no funeral, visitation hours or burial. \r\n\r\nThe family would like to extend sincere thanks to the Clinton Fire and Rescue team, Karl Roy of the Clinton Police Dept. and Justin Richardson of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home for all the compassion they provided.
