BELGRADE LAKES - Linda Ann Hale, 68, died unexpectedly on May 14, 2018, at her home in Belgrade Lakes, Maine. \r\n\r\nShe leaves behind her brother, Byron Hale of Bangor; and 10 nieces and nephews and their families. Also dear to Linda's heart were her beloved 11 cats that she had rescued over the years.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her parents James Elliott and Barbara (Libby) Hale; along with half-sisters Mary Ann Allenwood and Lois Tribble and half-brother James Frederick Hale; and loyal dog, Buttons.\r\n\r\nLinda attended Waterville and Norridgewock schools graduating from Madison Memorial High School in 1968. Linda pursued a career in nursing receiving a Nursing Diploma from New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston then completing a B.S. in Professional Arts with a major in Psychology from St. Joseph's College. Later she completed a Master's degree in Public Administration from Northeastern University and worked in various positions over 47 years ranging from a Registered Nurse to Administrator in Maine, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. \r\n\r\nIn 1997 Linda followed her heart and established a pet sitting business, Four Paws Home Care in North Carolina until relocating back to Maine in 2002 where she opened another pet sitting business, The Purrfect Plan.\r\n\r\nLinda was passionate about animal welfare and volunteered for cat/kitten rescue and adoption as well as the community spay and neuter clinic in Freeport. She also enjoyed walking, camping, kayaking and was an avid reader. \r\n\r\nThe family invites those that knew Linda to a remembrance on June 2, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at the Belgrade Lakes Community Center, 1 Community Drive/Rt. 27, Belgrade, ME 04918. \r\n\r\nIf you wish to remember Linda please consider a contribution to your local animal shelter, pet rescue or spay/neuter clinic.
