WATERVILLE, MAINE—Lisa Ann Loftus, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 29, 2012, to be with our Lord and Heavenly Father and joining her brother, Keith who she dearly missed. She was born in Waterville, Maine on May 9, 1966, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Robinson) Loftus, Jr. Lisa grew up in Winslow, Maine and graduated from Winslow High School, class of 1984. She spent 20 years in Augusta, Maine before recently moving to Waterville, Maine. She had been employed by the State of Maine in different departments since 1985. Lisa had been a Girl Scout Leader, a volunteer at Hope’s Place with the Waterville Area Hospice Volunteers, secretary for the annual family reunions, and in her younger years, a faithful attendee of the Winslow Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, movies, music, playing the guitar, and was an avid collector of different things. Her absolute joy was being Auntie to two wonderful children, McKayla Collins and Jason Fowler whom she loved more than anything in the world. She was predeceased by her brother, Keith Loftus; her maternal grandfathers, Charles Robinson and Oakley Woodward; her paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Loftus, Sr.; and her special bunnies, Chester and Skipford J. Lisa will be sadly missed by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Robinson) Loftus, Jr. of Winslow, Maine; her maternal grandmother, Roberta Woodward of Sidney, Maine; her Auntie Doris Davis and her husband, Al of Easton, Massachusetts, and her Auntie Bette Loftus of Waterville, Maine; her sister-in-law, Bunny Loftus of Tempe, Arizona; her niece, Britnee Loftus of Tempe, Arizona; her nephew, Bret Loftus and his wife, Amanda of Scottsdale, Arizona; several great aunts and uncles; cousins; and special friends. She also leaves behind her loving cat, Meldrick Louise “Mellie”, whom she adored. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4 at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 250 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville, Maine with Pastor William Cripe officiating. Spring burial will be at Howard Cemetery in Winslow.
