Clinton, Maine- Mary Elizabeth Garnett, 93, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2016, at Lakewood Nursing Home in Waterville, Maine.\r\n\r\nShe was born in Milo, Maine on April 1, 1923, to the late Albert Davis and Elizabeth Strout.\r\n\r\nMary worked many years at Dexter Shoe as a laborer when it was still located in Milo, Maine. After getting done at Dexter Shoe she moved to Clinton, Maine to be closer to her family. \r\n\r\nMary enjoyed doing puzzles and playing Scrabble, which she won most of the time. She also enjoyed her Wednesday lunches with her friends at the Methodist Church in Clinton, Maine. \r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her husband Arthur Garnett; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.\r\n\r\nMary is survived by her daughter Evangeline Taylor of Clinton, Maine; her sister Alice Duty of Skowhegan, Maine; grandson Scott Taylor of Ellington, Conn; a great grandson; three great granddaughters; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nMary will be laid to rest next to her husband in Milo.
