ALBION, MAINE — USAF Master Sgt. (Ret.) Darrin A. Rennie died Jan. 2, 2013, at his home in Albion. He was born in Scranton, Pa., on April 17, 1968, and graduated from Abington Heights High School. He proudly served in the Air Force from December 1986 through March 2007. He had many friends around the world and is remembered for his leadership and mentoring skills. He was a gourmet cook, enjoyed comedy and making people laugh, did sound engineering for various musical groups, and loved outdoor sports including hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Marian Rennie, Daniel and Many Hughes, and Fred and Beulah Mitchell. He is survived by his parents, Wade and Phyllis Rennie, Dalton, Pa.; sister Tara Molchan and husband Thomas, Waverly, Pa.; brother Kirk Rennie, Rapid City, S.D.; and brother Brett Hughes, Port Murray, N.J. Also surviving are two nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins; and his special friend, Mary Kay Adams, of Albion, Maine. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Since he resided in many places and was involved with several fire and ambulance crews, his family asks that you make a contribution in his memory to your local crew in lieu of flowers.
