Benton, ME – Michael Lee Butler, 48, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, in Benton.\r\n\r\nMichael was born in Waterville on May 15, 1969, the son of Donnie Butler and Brenda (Verrill) Combellack. He attended Lawrence High School, where he graduated in 1987. He exceled in football and was proud to be #84.\r\n\r\nHe was a hard worker. Michael started working at Northern Mattress in high school and worked his way up to being the Warehouse Manager until its closing in Fairfield. The past 13 years he worked as the Special Projects Manager for KVCAP in Waterville.\r\n\r\nMichael loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding his side by side, but nothing compared to the time he spent out on his boat…”Hanging by a Moment.” Michael was an avid Raiders fan and loved to cheer them on. He enjoyed watching the races with his dad and coaching his son’s Pal baseball team. Michael had a way with people and could light up the room with his smile and gave the best hugs. He could not have been more proud of his children, whom he adored and loved with all his heart. \r\n\r\nMichael is survived by his parents, Brenda and John Combellack of Waterville and Donnie and Sheila Butler of Clinton; the love of his life, Rebecca of Benton; his daughter Kelsey Lyn Hamlin and her husband Zach of Winslow; his son, Brandon Butler of Benton and Norridgewock; his stepson, Xaivere Scott of Benton; his grandchildren, Addisyn, Bentley and Arabella of Winslow and Aubrey Scott; his sister, Michelle Theriault and her husband Joey of Winslow; his nephew Seth and niece Emilee of Winslow; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael also had many loving and special friends.\r\n\r\nVisiting hours will be Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Lawry Brothers, 107 Main St., Fairfield, from 6-8pm. The graveside services will be held at a later date with his family.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank everyone during this difficult time for all their kind words, support and love.
