November 17, 2013 Oakland: Noel Joey Bard ll died Saturday November 16, 2013 at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta following a long illness. He was born in Waterville on June 13, 1963 the son of Noel Joseph and E. Emeline (Sawtelle) Bard. Joey graduated from Messalonskee High School, class of 1981 and attended Mid-State College. Joey worked as a custodian for Pine Acres Restaurant and for the Messalonskee School District. He was employed 21 years by SAPPI Paper Company. He most enjoyed working for KMD Driving School, and also was employed by the LL Bean Call Center. A life time resident of Oakland, Joey loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed family vacations to Myrtle Beach and family gatherings, especially on his favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. He enjoyed camping, attending demolition derbys, and driving his mustang. He was involved with the Messalonskee All Sports Boosters and ran the hot dog concession at basketball games for 4 years. One of his greatest joys was The Girls - his 5 dogs, Bella, Sophie, Chloe, Haylee and granddog, Tilly. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Shannon (Fuller) Bard, his parents Noel and Emeline Bard, his 2 children, Derek Bard and girlfriend Sheri Clark, and Zoey Bard and boyfriend Aaron Dyer all of Oakland, his in-laws, Al Fuller and Sharon Gray of Augusta, his close friends Ed Thompson and Mike Perkins of Oakland, Jerry Bickford of Sidney, and Bob Allen of Leeds, many other friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Wilfred Trepanier on 10-21-2013. There will be a celebration of Joey s life at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 20 at the Light House Ministry Center, High Street Oakland.
