FAIRFIELD, ME—Pamela A. Sargent, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Island Nursing Home in Deer Isle, ME.\r\n\r\nShe was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 14, 1954, the daughter of the late Ann Johnson and John Preston. \r\n\r\nPamela attended Somerville High School in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was employed as a waitress at Mei Chow for 24 years. \r\n\r\nHer hobbies included computer games, shopping, loved spending time with her grandkids, going out to eat, dancing, and playing pool. Pamela had a great sense of humor and loved her cats, Mushu, Mooshy, and Joy. \r\n\r\nBesides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Steven Sargent; and her brother, David Murphy.\r\n\r\nPamela is survived by her husband, Donald Sargent; her daughter, Veronica (Sargent) Bates; her sons, Donald Sargent II, and Craig Sargent; her granddaughters, Katrina Sargent, Amber Sargent, and Marissa Bates; her grandsons, Robert Bowman, Matthew Sargent, and David Sargent; her sister, Karen McGinley; and her brothers, James Murphy, and Les Vale.\r\n\r\nVisiting time will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Shawmut Chapel in Shawmut, ME. A gathering will take place at the church following the service. Burial will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, ME.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank Beacon Hospice of Bangor, ME for their compassionate care.
