Clinton, ME- Phyllis Christine (Wade) Towers, 70, of Clinton, passed after a long illness, peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was born in East Benton, ME on April 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Warren and Esther (Rood) Wade. Phyllis was a homemaker most of her life, and taking care of her family was her joy. She was a loving mother, and devoted grandmother. She will be missed by many. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward Eugene Towers; her five children, Scott Towers and his wife Denise, Kimberly Johnson and her husband Brent, Mark Towers and his wife Shannon, Pete Towers and his wife Nicole, and Colleen Towers all of Clinton, ME; 19 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; two brothers; Sonny Wade and his wife Mary, Richard and his wife Sandra, one sister, Juanita Linnell and her husband Carroll. She was predeceased by one brother, and two sisters. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 4, from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield, ME. There will be a Celebration of Life at the V.F.W. on Main Street in Fairfield, ME, following the service.
