October 1, 2012 Oakland: Rick L. Grivois, 58 died Saturday September 29, 2012 at his residence here. He was born in Waterville on January 19, 1954 the son of Armand and Stella (Bradford) Grivois. Rick worked many years as a woodsman. For the past several years he was a diesel mechanic for Pine Tree Waste of Waterville. A lifelong resident of Oakland, Rick was a member of the Decker-Simmons Post American Legion. He enjoyed being on his boat and riding his motorcycle, and was a member of United Bikers of Maine. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his nephew, Jordan Harris. Surviving is his wife of 24 years, Susan (Campbell) Grivois of Oakland, his mother Stella Grivois of St. Albans, 2 sons, Joshua Grivois and companion Barbara Bliss of Oakland, and Rick Harrington and wife Michelle of Oakland. 4 daughters, Tracie Hewett of Oakland, Raven Savasuk of Deblois, Becky-Sue Grivois and fiancee Bobby Collins of Oakland, and Michele Collins and husband Kevin of Fairfield Center. Brothers Scott Grivois and wife Terri of Madison, and John Grivois and wife Becky of St. Albans. Sisters, Pat Higgins and husband Dick of Athens, and Doddie Sawyer and husband Phil of St. Albans. Grandchildren, Jaxson, Marshall, Kennadi, Wyatt, Hunter, Zuryia, Sasha, Ana, Illiana, Jisselle, and Kamden, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father and mother in law, Roger and Evelyn Campbell. There will be a celebration of Rick s life at 2:00 PM on Saturday October 6 at the Decker-Simmons Post American Legion, Church Street Oakland.
