Robert F. Chief Leonard, 60, of Benton, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011, at MaineGeneral, Thayer Campus, in Waterville. He was born in Waterville on August 4, 1950, the son on Norbert F. and Geraldine (Roberge) Leonard. Robert liked to hunt, fish, play horseshoes, hangout with friends, and go camping at Moxie. In his spare time, he enjoyed sitting in the sun, watching thunder storms, carpentry, old cars, watching football, and he loved animals and his grandchildren. He was a great husband and father, and loved by all, and will be missed. He was predeceased by his father Norbert F. Skinny Leonard; and many aunts and uncles. Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years Debra Leonard on Benton; a son Christopher Leonard and his wife Stephanie, and their two children Oliver and Isaac of Vassalboro, his two daughters Shawna Leonard and fianc Teddy Brooks, and their three sons Cameron, Alex, and Kayden of Clinton, Kim Cormier and her husband Greg and their three children Kristen, Ryan, and Lindsay of Scarborough; his mother Geraldine Leonard of Mercer; his sister Patricia Dwyer and her husband Mitchell of Mercer; his nephew Robin Tyler and his wife Lisa and their family of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and all of his great Moxie friends. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, Main Street, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Debra J.
