Benton, Maine-Sadie M. Pendexter (Peters) passed away on April 6, 2017, after a long\r\ncourageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. \r\n\r\nSadie was born on December 19, 1927, to Salem and Nazera Peters. Sadie attended schools in Waterville.\r\n\r\nSadie, in her younger years worked at the former Keyes Fyber and also vorked at Colby\r\nCollege as a waitress. Sadie's biggest role was being a homemaker to her four children. Sadie\r\nwas a long time member of St. Joseph's Maronite Catholic Church. She was also a former\r\nmember of the Rosary Sodality.\r\n\r\nSadie loved family time the best. She would often be found in the kitchen cooking her Lebanese\r\ndishes for her loving family. Sadie loved to read in her spare time and enjoyed bowling in her\r\nyounger years. She was a social butterfly loved by many.\r\n\r\nSadie was predeceased by her parents; one sister Doris Poirier; two brothers Ernest and Morris\r\nPeters. \r\n\r\nSadie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Milton Pendexter. In addition to her\r\nhusband, Sadie is survived by her four children Gary Pendexter and his wife Mary from Georgia,\r\nCurtis Pendexter and his wife Debbie from S. China, Melissa Carter and her husband Lee from\r\nWinslow and Kevin Pendexter and his wife Erica from Winslow. Sadie is also survived by her\r\nthree grandchildren, Derek Carter of Lewiston, Julia Pendexter from Georgia, and Madisyn\r\nPendexter of Winslow. Sadie also had one great grandson Aiden Carter. Also surviving is one\r\nbrother George Peters, one niece and one nephew.\r\n\r\nA graveside service will be held later in the spring. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph's Maronite Catholic Church.\r\n\r\nThe family of Sadie would also like to extend a big thank you to the staff of Woodlands Memory\r\ncare unit. Also thank you to her wonderful nurse Gwen Chase from Hospice for her wonderful\r\ncare and the volunteers who sat with her.
