SARAH ANN CUNNINGHAM\r\n1947-2017\r\n\r\n\r\nWINDSOR, ME--Sarah Ann Cunningham, age 69 of Choate Rd passed away to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday evening June 22, 2017 surrounded by her family after her courageous battle from cancer.\r\n\r\nShe was born in the home of her parent’s doctor in Vassalboro, ME the daughter of Floyd and Clara Randall Brann. She attended Windsor schools graduating from Erskine Academy class of 1965.\r\n\r\nShe waitressed for a while for Glendon Casey. Sarah was a stay home mom raising her own children as well as several other children from Windsor. She worked as an Ed Tech at the Windsor Elementary School for several years. \r\n\r\nSarah also worked for the Town of Windsor for 16 ½ plus years where she received her certification for town clerk. She would be the first town clerk in Windsor to be certified and she is also the only town clerk to receive her lifetime certification. In 2004 Sarah received the Rookie of the Year Award from the Maine Town and City Clerks Association.\r\n\r\nAfter her retirement, Sarah and her husband became members of the Windsor Historical Society as well the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club.\r\n\r\nSarah and her husband were lifetime members of the North Windsor Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon and sang in the church choir. She also served as church treasurer and custodian at the church for many years.\r\n\r\nShe will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and community member who will be greatly missed. She touched everyone in a special way with her contagious smile. \r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her brother Mickey Randell. \r\n\r\nSarah leaves her beloved husband of 51 years Roger Cunningham of Windsor, ME; two Sons, Kevin and his wife Tracy Cunningham of South China, ME, and Jason and his wife Lin Cunningham of Azusa, CA; a Daughter, Amanda and her husband Tom Roddy of Palermo, ME; a sister, Wendy Brann of Augusta, ME. Sarah is also survived by four grandchildren.\r\n\r\nA time of visitation will be held Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Lawry Brothers-Gray Chapel, 207 Windsor Neck Rd, Windsor, ME from 4 to 7 PM. A Celebration of Sarah’s Life will be held at the funeral home at 11AM Thursday June 29, 2017 with Pastor Brian Casey officiating.
