Terry M. Carver, of Waterville, ME, and formerly of Telford, Perkasie and Sellersville, PA, went home to be with his Savior on Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was 75.\r\n\r\n He was the loving husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” Leverich Carver. The couple would have celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on December 16, 2020.\r\n\r\n Born in Sellersville, PA, on May 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Herman and Margaret (Moyer) Carver. Terry was a 1963 graduate of Souderton Area High School, Souderton, PA, and a 1968 graduate of Bloomsburg State College, Bloomsburg, PA.\r\n\r\n Terry began his working career as a Senior High School History Teacher with the Hatboro-Horsham School District in Horsham, PA. Thereafter, he was employed as a steel planner for both the Trailmobile Corp. and the Budd Company. Lastly, before his retirement, he was employed by the NCR Corp. as an inventory control analyst.\r\n\r\n He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Telford, where he served as a frequent lector for the early Sunday morning worship service and also served on the Budget Review Committee.\r\n\r\n While in high school, Terry was a pitcher on the Souderton Area High School Baseball Team and was a member of the school’s Debate Team as well. He loved to read and enjoyed bowling and playing Pinochle. An avid flower gardener, he was a loyal Philadelphia Phillies Baseball fan. He also enjoyed painting hex signs, selling them at various craft fairs in Maine. His other passions included drinking coffee, and eating chocolate ice cream and peanut butter. Mostly, Terry loved to talk to whoever would listen.\r\n\r\n Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Donna Hinkledire, of Waterville, Karin Carver, of Sellersville, Amy Morehead and her husband Steve, of Germansville, PA, and Linda Doyle and her husband Robert, of Schnecksville, PA; four grandchildren, Sabrina Hinkledire, Sierra Stead, Mason Doyle and Aiden Doyle; a great-grandson, Spencer Doyle; two sisters-in-law, Ann “Bonnie” Carter and her husband Tim, of Canaan, ME, and Diane Carver, of Perkasie, PA; and three nephews, Todd Dunn and his wife Teresa and Trevor Dunn and his wife Dawn, all of China, ME, and Jason Carver and his wife Stephanie of Pennsburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Carver.\r\n\r\n Graveside Services with interment in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Telford, will be held privately at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jason Carver officiating.\r\n\r\n Contributions in Terry’s memory may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Center for Childhood Cancer Research in Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
