ALBION, ME--Albion was the residence of Victor Ray Buker, 71, who passed away at Mass General on Friday the 19th of June 2015, with sons Fredrick and Alan right by his side. \r\n\r\nVictor was born in Benton, ME on August 18, 1943, the son of Willard and Opal (Baker) Buker. \r\n\r\nHe attended school in 1979, entered military service on Nov. 21, 1961, and was honorably discharged on Nov. 30, 1969. \r\n\r\nVictor also worked at the Railroad right out of school. He was a member of Pine Tree Coon, Cat, and Bear Assoc., and the United Kennel Club where he was a Master Judge for sporting dogs. The East Benton Church was his church of choice. \r\n\r\nHis hobbies included hunting, fishing, spending time with family, friends, and his grandchildren. The people who knew him, and knew him well, also knew talking on the phone was one of favorite things as well.\r\n\r\nHe was a good husband, great dad, great brother, and a proud grandpa (Pa-Pa). \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Joyann C. Buker; his children, Leroy W. Buker, Victor G Buker, and Fredrick Ethen Allen Buker and his wife, Amber; and also several grandchildren. Victor is also survived by his siblings, Gerald Buker, Allan Buker, Peggy Hunnewell; his very special service dog, “Bently"; a very special friend, Alan Barnes; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Kristin Littlefield and Mi-Mi Dodge. \r\n\r\nA gathering on Aug. 18, 2015, for the celebration of Victor Buker's Life, with comrades, friends, and family, will be held at the Fairfield, ME VFW between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. followed by a private gathering at his home with family and close friends only.
