Fairfield-Kenneth W. Littlefield, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on September 1, 2018, while watching football. \r\n\r\nKen was born on July 26, 1938, in Benton; the son of Lindley and Celia Littlefield. Ken graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, where he played football. He was an Army Veteran, serving from 1955 to 1958. Ken owned his own painting company, worked for Scott Paper and held various other positions over the years. \r\n\r\nHis true passion was coaching local sports. Ken served the Central Maine PAL communities with more than three decades of service; he coached and refereed baseball, basketball and his personal favorite, football. Ken was an avid hunter in his earlier years. He also enjoyed gardening, golfing and going to the shooting range.\r\n\r\nKen was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Leroy Littlefield and Dennis Littlefield; sister Marion Whitney; and grandson Zachary Tulley.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by Shirley Littlefield of Benton and their children, Jeff and Kathy Littlefield of Winslow, Katrina and Rodney Corson of Benton, Heidi and Darren White of Phillips, and Harrison and Kym Littlefield of Benton; Debi Hitchcock of Fairfield and their children, Brian and Meagan Littlefield of Wilton, Chad and Donna Lewis of Fairfield, Joel and Denise Lewis of Fairfield, and Ryan and Karyn Lewis of Portland; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.\r\n\r\nThere will be a celebration of his life for family and friends held on September 16th, at 1:00pm at the Fairfield Community Center.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers a donation in Ken’s name can be made to the Fairfield PAL athletic league.
